Tunisia imposes curfew in 4 provinces

A 15-day curfew will be imposed in the Grand Tunis area as of Thursday, the governor of Ariana province Samir Abdeljawed announced on Wednesday night.

Abdeljawed said that the curfew decision aims to limit the spread of COVID-19 pandemic in the Grand Tunis area which includes the provinces of Tunis, Ariana, Ben Arous and Manouba.

The governor called on all citizens to strictly adhere to preventive measures.

Tunisian Health Ministry on Wednesday reported 2,312 new COVID-19 cases, raising the total number of infections to 24,542 with 364 deaths.
