Visitors to Malawi will be able to get their visas online from November 1, the Malawi Department of Immigration and Citizenship Services has said.

According to a statement by the department, the move is aimed at ensuring timeliness and efficiency in facilitating travel to Malawi.

Visas to Malawi only grant permission to the traveler to enter the country within the validity period of the visa, the statement added.

“Number of days, residential permit to legally stay in Malawi is issued at the port of entry or on application at the Malawi Immigration Headquarters,” said the statement.
