Ghana reports 1,263 new COVID-19 cases, total cases exceed 39,000

Ghana on Wednesday reported 1,263 new cases of COVID-19, raising the country’s total case count to 39,075, according to the latest update by the Ghana Health Service (GHS).

The number of recoveries rose to 35,563 after 1,250 more patients recovered.

Eight more deaths were reported, bringing the COVID-19 death toll to 199.

Final-year senior high school students started their main exit examinations on Monday in Ghana under strict COVID-19 prevention protocols.
