COVID-19 caseload surpasses 34,000 in Ghana

Ghana registered 782 new cases of the novel coronavirus, bringing its total caseload to 34,406, according to the latest data by the Ghana Health Service early Wednesday.

The number of recovered and discharged cases increased to 30,621, with 820 more discharged cases.

The COVID-19 related death toll in the West African country remained at 168, with 3,617 total active cases.

Ghana has eased restrictions on the number of passengers that public transport can carry, while remained its borders closed to contain the spread of the pandemic.
