U.S. Congress to Consider Global Counter-Terrorism Fund

U.S President Barack Obama has proposed a five billion dollar “Counterterrorism Partnership Fund” to address emerging and evolving terrorism threats around the world. The White House has indicated that a significant focus will be on assisting African nations tackling Al Qaeda affiliates. But there are concerns that such a fund could be too narrowly focused on military objectives. From Washington, CCTV’s Daniel Ryntjes reports.
