Hwange National park in Zimbabwe has come under sharp criticism from Animal rights activists recently. This is after the park made plans to sell elephants in a bid to reduce the current number which is straining resources in the scant funded National Park. Wildlife Authorities say the country has a current population of 80-thousand elephants yet the capacity that can be sustained stands at almost half that number. The move to sell elephants is meant to bring an ecological balance to the national Park.
