US reopens Somalia embassy in Nairobi, Kenya

Read < 1 minute

The US has reopened its Somalia Embassy that was shut in 1991 after the famous ‘Black Hawk Down’ incident that as well led to the country withdrawing its troops from the country.
The mission will be in Kenya’s capital, Nairobi – around 1200 kilometres away and there’ll be an American envoy, not an ambassador.
