The United Nations Security Council members are considering placing sanctions on South Sudan’s warring parties. This is after last week slaughter of hundreds of men, women and children who had sought refuge in a mosque, church and hospital. By  rebels loyal to former vice president Riek  Machar when they seized the South Sudan oil hub of Bentiu. The United States and the European Union have already threatened South Sudan with sanctions.
