UN uses food aid to fight against child labour in Egypt

More than a quarter of Egypt’s eighty two million citizens live below the poverty line. Poverty and other social problems have forced up to 15 percent of Egypt’s children into the workforce, including more than one million involved in seasonal farm labor. This is according to UNICEF. But a new initiative by the United Nations to provide food for children is boosting the fight against child labor in the North African country.
