The United Nations Security Council has called for an immediate and unconditional humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza. An emergency session had all fifteen council members back a statement calling for a truce over the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr and beyond. This comes as an Israeli official was quoted saying Israel sees no need for another Gaza ceasefire
