Tunis-Carthage International Airport to reopen to public

The Tunisian government on Wednesday decided to reopen the Tunis-Carthage International Airport to the public from Thursday after its closure for security reasons.
The decision was made at a meeting between Tunisian Prime Minister Youssef Chahed, Interior Minister Hichem Fourati and Minister of Transport Hichem Ben Ahmed, according to a statement issued by the government.
The two ministers presented a report on techniques and methods used to reinforce preventive security measures at the airport.
The country’s security authority has prohibited public access to the airport since June 27, 2019, following two terrorist attacks in the capital.
