President Robert Mugabe has dispatched Vice- President Emmerson Mnangagwa to China for a five-day visit where he has been tasked “to revive the Chinese mega deals”.

Mnangagwa is expected to sign several agreements, among them a memorandum of agreement between the Communist Party of China and Zanu-PF and another memorandum of understanding between the National Development and Reform Commission and the Office of the President and Cabinet.

During his visit Mnangagwa, known in Zimbabwe as “the crocodile” is expected to hold meetings with his counterpart, the Vice President of the People’s Republic of China Mr Li Yuanchao as well as various other high-profile Chinese ministers.
