Talk Africa: Still battling Boko Haram
It’s been 7 years of recurrent terror orchestrated by the extremist group Boko Haram.
And Nigeria, Africa’s most populous country, and the continent’s largest economy, has severely borne the brunt.
Years of suicide bombings, killings & abductions have left thousands dead, and millions forced out of their homes. Since the 2014 abduction of over 200 school girls in Chibok, only two have been recovered.
So will West Africa ever see an end to the insurgency’s terror? And why after all this while, is Africa still battling Boko Haram?
