Nigeria’s president Muhammadu Buhari has just concluded his first state visit to China- an important trip for Africa’s largest economy, currently reeling from an economic slump.

During his visit, Buhari negotiated various bi-lateral deals, including a 2 billion US dollar loan, hoped to support a current budget deficit.

But will this economic lifeline buoy Nigeria’s slump?
