Storm & lightning claims the lives of five in Cape Town
Five people were killed, four of them in a fire caused by lightning, as a massive stormed raged in the Western Cape on Wednesday, reports News24.
“The four were killed in the blaze in Kraaifontein, Cape Town disaster risk management confirmed. A 60-year-old man was killed when a home collapsed on him in Lavender Hill,” says the report.
South Africa’s city Cape Town got the heavy rains and storm before midnight on Tuesday, leaving destruction on its wake.
