Stolen Nigerian goat named Cinnamon steals hearts on Facebook

The story of a stolen Nigerian goat called Cinnamon in Wisconsin, United States has drawn wide-attention on social media.
A manhunt is underway for thieves believed to have appropriated a goat. Police are trying to crack the reasons why someone would steal a goat?

Cinnamon’s owners say the goat was taken on May 25, and they are hoping for her safe return back to the family home.
The Sheriff’s Office stated in a Facebook post that Cinnamon was previously under vet’s care and in need of medication.
The Nigerian goat is a miniature dairy goat breed of West African ancestry. The original animals were transported from Africa on ships as food for captured carnivores being brought to zoos, the survivors were then maintained in herds at zoos.
Nowadays, Nigerian dwarf goats have been promoted from prey to pets and often feature in the households of family milkers due to their easy maintenance and small stature.
The search for Cinnamon is still ongoing.
