China’s 2020 Spring Festival Gala will entertain Chinese and global audiences with programs integrating tradition, art, fashion and tech.

Costumes will integrate traditional Chinese elements into fashionable designs, while the combination of dance and cutting-edge technology with robots will create a powerful audiovisual impact.

This year’s gala is dedicated to breaking the boundaries of the stage and enhancing the audience’s sense of participation.

Apart from its main site in Beijing, parts of the gala will be performed in the city of Zhengzhou in Henan Province and in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The four-hour-plus extravaganza, which held its fourth rehearsal on Monday, will broadcast live on Lunar New Year’s Eve on Friday.
