Somalia has the longest coastline in Africa covering some 3,300 kilometres and hosting up to 5 ports. The coastline is famous for all the wrong reason, piracy. Somali pirates involved in illegal fishing activities supposedly by foreign trawlers had depleted the maritime resources .Mogadishu fishermen are now fishing for sustenance.
