Senior Chinese diplomat Wang Yi meets Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval in Johannesburg

The Director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, Wang Yi, met with Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval in Johannesburg, South Africa, on Monday.

Wang said that China and India are two major forces in the process of multi-polarization, and urged both sides to follow the development trend of the times and correctly grasp the development direction of bilateral relations.

On his part, Doval said that India and China share many common views on the future of mankind and the world, and share extensive common interests.

Doval said the Indian side is willing to work with the Chinese side in the spirit of mutual understanding and mutual respect, as well as look at the big picture and the long-term solution to fundamentally resolve the border dispute, promote the improvement of bilateral relations as soon as possible, and make positive contributions to maintaining world peace and prosperity.
