Senegal set to host US-backed military training
Senegal will host a combined American, European and African military training camp in February 2016, sources said.
The decision was reached in Dakar at the end of a three-day meeting of military experts from Africa, North America and Europe on Saturday.

The Dakar meeting was held under the auspices of the US military command in Africa (USAfricom). to prepare for Flintlock 2016.

Most of the training will be held at the at a military base in Thiès, about 70 kilometers from Dakar.
Other locations in Senegal will include Podor, Bakel and Saint Louis.
Mauritania will, together with Senegal, co-host Flintlock 2016.
Some of the training will focus on information sharing, communications, first aid, logistics and civil affairs.
Flintlock is an annual training and was hosted last year by Chad.
Senegal hosted the Flintlock in 2005 and again in 2011.
