Nigeria remained fifth continentally while Congo dropped three places to sixth above Ghana, who are seventh while Kenya is in position 21 in Africa.
Meanwhile, Ghana moved a place up to position 51 worldwide while Sierra Leone and Ethiopia, Kenya’s other opponents in the ongoing Afcon qualifiers are 116 and 151 positions respectively.
In a month characterized by inactivity in Africa except the one but the last qualifiers for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, Sudan is the biggest climber on the continent, moving up eight places to 127th in the world and 34th in Africa.
Other big movers in the continent include of Mozambique (117th, up 5), Angola (125th, up 5), Comoros (143rd, up 5) and Gambia (166th, up 7).
There is no change in the world’s top five where Belgium is still number 1 followed by France, Brazil, Croatia and England.
