#RespekTheDoek trending in South Africa in support of eNCA reporter
Women from all over South Africa are sharing images of themselves wearing headgear using a trending hashtag, #RespekTheDoek in showing support for an eNCA reporter.
Nontobeko Sibisi’s video package was allegedly pulled off air because she dawned an “unprofessional” head-wrap in the insert. Cape Talk reports
The scandal now referred to as the ‘Doek Gate’, has infuriated many South African women who believe that there is still a great deal of cultural intolerance in the work place.
Below are some tweets shared by South Africans.
