Nigeria’s Boko Haram Leader Sanctioned By United Nations Security Council

The United Nations Security Council has sanctioned the leader of Nigeria’s Boko Haram and a splinter group. This is the first individual and entity to be designated by the world body since the Islamist militant group was blacklisted. This comes in the midst of raised fears of a worsening Islamist insurgency in Nigeria. CCTV’s Carol Oyola reports.
