Nigerians and fans around the world pay tribute to football legend Stephen Keshi
Nigeria’s former Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi dies at the age of 54. Keshi was pronounced dead at wee hours of Wednesday while in Benin.
A former captain of the Nigeria national team, Keshi was one of only two men to win the Africa Cup of Nations both as a player and a coach.
Assistant Director of Communications in the Nigeria Football Federation said that Keshi died after he was rushed to a hospital in Benin after complaining of his legs. He said that Keshi had problems with his legs and that he could not stand for long.
