Nigeria’s health Minister, Osagie Ehanire, has commended China’s efforts to prevent and control the corona-virus epidemic.
According to Ehanire, testing reagents have been deployed in the cities of Abuja and Lagos. In addition, the Nigerian government has set up a Quarantine diagnosis and treatment facility at the Abuja University Teaching Hospital.
There has been an out pouring of African governments in support of and commending China in its quick efforts to contain and manage the virus outbreak.
So far no confirmed cases have been detected in Africa, though many governments remain vigilant in the ensuring that the outbreak in contained.
