A large fire has broken out at Beirut port on Thursday, at the site of a devastating explosion that killed nearly 200 people last month.

Video footage on social media shows flames and a thick column of black smoke billowing into the sky over Beirut.

The fire broke out in a warehouse storing tyres and oil, according to a Lebanese military source. However, the cause of the blaze is not yet known.
