Malaria Global Impact
Despite concerted efforts to eliminate Malaria, sub- Saharan Africa remains the worst affected region in the World. Hundreds of thousands of people are still dying from this preventable disease. As the world marks the world malaria day, the World Health Organization is urging countries to plan for the elimination of the disease even in regions where it’s endemic. According to WHO since the year 2000 malaria mortality rate globally has dropped by 42% and in African nations it has declined by 49%.
