Maize imports crucial to feed millions in Zimbabwe

At least 1.5 million Zimbabweans are getting food aid during the lean period between planting and harvesting, which runs between October to March next year.

Much like her neighbour to the South, Zimbabwe is plagued by drought and it needs 1.4 million tonnes of imported maize to bridge its food deficit.
