Liverpool cedes control of Premier League title race to Manchester City

Liverpool has lost its lead in the race for the Premier League title after drawing against local rivals Everton 0-0.
The Reds went into Sunday’s game 2 points behind Manchester City, with the knowledge that a win would see them retain their lead in the English top flight.
With only nine games to go now, Liverpool will be hoping the Citizens slip up before the end of the season if they are to win a 19th title.
Manchester City on the other hand now have their quest to retain the title firmly in their grip as attention now turns to the Champions League.
The Citizens will face Watford in their next game while Liverpool will come up against Burnley.
Aside from the race for the title, the quest to finish in the Champions League positions is heating up, with Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea all battling to qualify for the European competition.
United are currently in fourth with 58 points, Arsenal are fifth with a point less while fellow Londoners Chelsea train the Gunners by one point but with a game in hand.
