Barcelona and Argentina attacker Lionel Messi trained with the national team in Washington D.C ahead of their international friendly against El Salvador this coming weekend.

Barcelona football club have allayed fears that their star Lionel Messi had sustained a foot injury in their 2 one win over Real Madrid in the ”el classico” showdown last weekend. The Argentine captain was checked by medical staff on Monday, with tests confirming he was fine.

Argentina are preparing for the Copa America in Chile from June 11 – July 4, and will play their warm-up tie on Saturday. The team will play another friendly against Ecuador in New Jersey next week.
