Kenya reports 355 new COVID-19 cases, 10 more deaths

Kenya’s Ministry of Health on Saturday reported 355 new confirmed coronavirus cases raising its nationwide total to 32,118.

The cases came from the testing of 5,724 samples in the last 24 hours; Kenya has now tested a total of 417,804 samples.

Figures released by the ministry also indicated that 10 more people had died from the deadly disease pushing the death toll to 542.

The statistics also showed that the number of recoveries rose to 18,453 after 296 more patients were discharged.

Despite still registering an increase in cases, Kenya relaxed some restrictions in order to kick start the economy which had taken a serious hit due to the pandemic.
