Kenya records 538 cases of COVID-19

Kenya on Saturday recorded 538 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of positive cases to 41,158.

This is out of a sample size of 6,872 tested in the last 24 hours, bringing the cumulative tests to 586,911.

From the cases, 496 are Kenyans and 42 are foreigners. In terms of gender, 430 are males and 108 are females.

Age-wise, the youngest is a one-year-old infant while the oldest is 85.

61 people have today recovered from the disease, with 40 from the Home-Based Care Program, while 21 have been discharged from various hospitals. This now brings the total number of recoveries to  30,937.

However, the country has lost five more patients to the virus, bringing the total number of fatalities to 760.
