ISIL claims killing of Croatian hostage in Egypt

Read < 1 minute

Islamic State militants have claimed the killing of a Croatian hostage. The ISIL group has posted an online image showing his decapitation. The authenticity of this image is yet to be verified though. Tomislav Salopek was abducted last month west of the capital, Cairo. It’s the first time ISIL has taken someone on Egyptian soil. The group last week demanded the release of all Muslim women prisoners in Egypt, threatening to kill Salopek if that demand wasn’t met.
