Nigeria international footballer Anthony Ujah has apologized for being too rough with a Goat mascot.
The Nigeria striker Anthony Ujah who plays his football in Germany, grabbed the Goat which is the clubs mascot by horns as he celebrated a goal he scored for his club on Sunday.
He had scored the fourth goal for Cologne which was playing against Eintracht Frankfurt.
After scoring, Ujah ran towards the Goat and grabbed its horns as he celebrated his goal. It is said he even tried to drag the Goat onto the pitch.
Later on after he realized how rough he was with the Goat during his celebration, Ujah went onto his Twitter account and wrote this apology: “Sorry Hennes. I was a bit too rough on him.”
The animal’s owner was initially surprised by Ujah’s rough actions but managed to pull the goat back before the forward returned to the pitch.
The club’s win was their first home win since October last year.
