African and Chinese leaders are due to meet later this week in Johannesburg.

That’s for the Forum on China-Africa Co-operation summit.

The summit’s aimed at setting new goals for the partnership between China and Africa – and an action plan for achieving them. Ahead of that, senior officials from the Chinese and South African government have been hosting a round-table discussion on FOCAC – and spelling out just why it’s so important.
