FOCAC: Agricultural cooperation is big business in Burundi

Agriculture is a priority in China-Africa economic and technological cooperation.

The partnership between the two regions has helped African countries to develop their agriculture, improve livelihoods and achieve economic and social progress.

One of those many success stories is playing out in Burundi.

A rice farmer named Ndayikeje says Chinese agro-technology helped him develop a new hybrid strain of rice that produces higher yields and better quality, which ultimately leads to more profit for him and other farmers in the country.
