Fighting Militancy in Somalia

The African Union force Amisom is expected to engage the Alqaeda linked Alshaabab fighters in the coming months, in efforts to liberate more towns from the militant group. The militant fighters are expected to intensify their attacks, during Ramadhan, which is just around the corner. Already though, Amisom is having trouble dealing with blockaded routes, as the militia had cut off supply routes to the towns it has lost.
