Facebook for Christians launched in Brazil
Facebook has revolutionised how people communicate especially the young.
However the old have not been left behind in the groove of sending pictures and sharing content.
The social media brand which has more than 1.4 billion users and still growing, however faces a big challenge of questionable content with everyone posting and sharing links and pictures and even videos on just about anything under the sun.
For this reason you find some recipients of unwanted content blocking the people sending the content.
This is what has motivated a group of Evangelical Christians in Brazil to come up with an alternative for what they think will be a moral platform for those who question the content on Facebook….they call it…”sin free Facebook”.
It is a christian version of Facebook called ‘FaceGloria’. Instead of blocking people and tweaking privacy settings all the time, FaceGloria does not even allow such content in the first place.
The site is said to have already amassed more than 100,000 people in just one month since it was launched in Brazil and for the founders the growth will keep coming.
The site was launched last month by a group of Evangelical Christians in Brazil. Instead of a “Like” button there’s an “Amen” button. There’s no sexy content, no violence, no swearing, and (it claims) no sinning.
The site is currently only available in Portuguese, but more languages are in the works.
