Everton to play Kenya’s Gor Mahia in Tanzania
The 2017 winners of the Sport Pesa Super Cup Champions, Kenya’s Gor Mahia, will play against English Premier League football club, Everton, next month’s pre-season fixture in Tanzania.
“The match against Everton will be tough but I give thanks to my teammates for how they worked through the whole tournament – we participated and competed well,” said 24-year-old, Haron Shakava.
Gor Mahia FC captain Haron Shakava says that his club will give the Toffees a good game before 60,000 football fans in the national stadium in Dar es Salaam on 13 July.
Gor Mahia won the right to face Everton by beating AFC Leopards 3-0 in the SportPesa Super Cup final on Sunday.
“I hope the fans will come out to watch because we are representing Africa,” Said Shakava.
