Abdel Fattah Al Sisi’s decision to run for presidency will surprise very few people since he has  been hinting for months that he would run. Many Egyptians took to the streets in celebration minutes after he announced that he will be resigning as the defense minister so has to run for the presidency. His main competitor Hamdeen Sabahy, a liberal revolutionary welcomed Al Sisi’s candidacy saying he is ready for the race. However Muslim Brotherhood haven’t yet commented on Al Sisi presidential Bid as he spearheaded the ouster of their President Mohammed Morsi.
