Egyptian Woman ventures into carpentry to overcome unemployment

Egypt’s high rates of unemployment has forced a young woman to venture into a field mostly thought to be male centered

Asmaa Kamel started doing carpentry work with her husband

Although the manual labour was hard at first she has managed to learn to do it with ease. Her family did not approve at first especially the manual labour that she is now accustomed to and when she went out to deal with traders and to get wood and supplies.

Now it is her dream with her husband to grow their business into a furniture factory
