Eastern Star Salvage: Death Toll At 396 As Of Noon Saturday

The cruise ship that capsized on the Yangtze River in central China Eastern Star was righted and lifted Friday. More bodies of passengers have been found inside the cabins. As of Saturday noon, The death toll stood at 396. Recovery teams have taken all the bodies ashore. The massive search operation is now nearly over inside the ship…with 46 people still unaccounted for. Only 14 survivors have been found so far among the 456 people on board the ship that capsized Monday night in bad weather. In a press conference just finished, the Deputy Chief of China’s State Council Information Office vowed to continue searching for the missing passengers
