DeBeers mine remains a boon to Botswana’s economy

Read < 1 minute

Botswana economic prosperity is linked to the international diamond market and the ruling prices of the precious gem, most of which comes from the Jwaneng mine.

The country is one of 22 diamond producing countries.

It’s the second largest by value and the third largest by volume in the world.

CCTV’s Angelo Coppola spent time at the DeBeers flagship Jwaneng operation, which is by value, the worlds richest diamond mine.
