CONCERNS RAISED AFTER EGYPT SENTENCES 529 PEOPLE TO DEATH
The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, has termed the Egyptian mass trial of 1,200 Muslim brotherhood members to death as a gross violation of human rights and international law. The United States has also voiced strong opposition of the trial saying it is a flagrant disregard for basic standards of justice. Protests broke out hours after the trial began with many Egyptians chanting Anti Sisi Slogans.
