China’s new ambassador to Kenya Sun Baohong jets into Nairobi

China’s new Ambassador to Kenya Mrs. Sun Baohong arrived in Nairobi on Sunday to begin her new role in Nairobi.

Sun boasts of a vast work experience within Africa, having worked on the continent for 26 years already.

Before taking up her new position in Nairobi, she served as China’s ambassador to Ghana.

She leaves Ghana after a four-year diplomatic period, during which she oversaw unprecedented Chinese interest and investments in the socio-economic well-being of the West African country.

The diplomat has pledged to continue to push forward the development of China-Kenya relations, and to contribute to China-Africa cooperation.
