Childhood distorted by sin: Life of a Jihadi
The East Turkestan Islamic Movement (ETIM) is one of the major terrorist groups responsible for many attacks in China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Numerous sources confirm that since the area where ETIM operates became a terrorist base, innocent children are being trained to commit terrorist attacks.
A video clip recorded by Azat Rozalahong, an ETIM member, shows how he trained two of his sons to practice shooting, the oldest being only six at the time.
“We go to fight in a war, at the frontline and they will stay at home. The pistol is hung on the wall. They can’t go about not knowing how to shoot a gun, so I’ve got to teach them,” he said.
The children, who should be enjoying their innocent and joyful childhood, were brutally turned into slaughterers, no matter how frightened they were to go to war.
The organization doesn’t even allow them to sing children’s songs. Instead the kids are taught to sing so-called “Jihadi” songs. Even the cartoons they watch are full of death.
“The cartoons are doctored. Basically, they’re made by extremists. For instance, the war in Chechnya is turned into a cartoon,” said Azat.
According to the organization’s rules, boys, when they turn seven, will be sent to a so-called “school” where they will receive an education that systematically brainwashes them. A video on ETIM’s own website reveals the truths of these “schools” and their lessons of hate. Throughout the 5-minute video, one word is repeated more than any other — “sacrifice”.
With no teaching of knowledge or ethics, these children grow up to be mindless violent robots doing whatever they’re told, without thinking of the consequences.
