BREAKING: Lesotho army commander killed by rival soldiers

Lesotho’s army commander has been shot dead by rival military officers, officials in the southern African country have confirmed.

AP reports Defence Minister Sentje Lebona to have confirmed the death of Lieutenant General Khoantle Motsomotso on Tuesday morning.

Motsomotso is reported to have been shot at his home by a group of soldiers who had recently been fired.

At least one soldier was also killed in the attack, with another injured.
