Bangui basketball team for the disabled defies odds to promote peace on court

It is often said that the language of sports is universal and knows no boundaries.

In the Central African Republic, a country that has been ravaged by war for a years, one basketball team for the disabled opted for sports to accomplish what proved to be a massive challenge even to the government – promoting peace and reconciliation among the country’s population.

Their teams determination saw them beat various odds to spread their message, and not even broken wheelchairs could stop them.
