Read < 1 minute

Hosts Ghana will take on Uganda in the final of the men’s football tournament at this year’s African Games.

Michael Ephson scored the only goal for Ghana seven minutes from the end of normal time as they edged out Senegal 1-0 in the semifinal at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday.

Earlier, Uganda staged a dramatic comeback to thrash Congo 4-2 in Accra. The latter raced into a 2-0 lead at halftime courtesy of goals from Servyl Akouala and Mignon Koto.

But a brace from both Abasi Kyeyune and Bruno Bunyaga in a 20-minute spell turned the game around and sent Uganda into the final.

The final will take place on Friday 8:00 p.m. (local time) at the Accra Sports Stadium, according to Ghana Football Association.
