At least 300 Tunisians were released Tuesday night from captivity by the Libyan militia in Western city of Sabratha according to the head of the militia

The militia has demanded the government to release the mayor of Sabratha in exchange of the captives. The mayor was arrested over the weekend at the Tunis airport after attending a workshop by the United Nation Development Programme.

It is not clear whether the mayor has been released or not
